Darryl A. Daniels is the Founder and President of Digital Inquiries, LLC, he is also the Chief Forensic Examiner and oversees all matters pertaining to digital media/Cyber examinations.

Mr. Daniels is a graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with a specialty in Criminology.

Mr. Daniels is a veteran of 28 plus years in law enforcement. Prior to entering into the law enforcement field, he was in the US Army where he served one year in Viet Nam as a Prisoner of War Interrogator.

He began his law enforcement career with the Department of Public Safety at The Ohio State University after his graduation. After approximately one year with the department, he was promoted from uniform patrol to criminal investigator. As a criminal investigator he was assigned and successfully completed numerous criminal investigations involving fraud and other white collar crimes.

Mr. Daniels continued his law enforcement career after being accepted for a position as a Special Agent with the US Secret Service. His career with the Secret Service began in the Chicago, IL Field Office where he spent over six years investigating white collar crimes including counterfeiting, check fraud, bank fraud, credit card fraud and other crimes of opportunity.

After Mr. Daniels satisfied the Secret Service requirement of Presidential Protective responsibilities, he was assigned to the Cincinnati, Ohio Field Office where he continued to hone his investigative skills. During his assignment to the Cincinnati Field Office, he was recognized by the US Attorney's Office for his outstanding investigation of a large counterfeiting operation.

Mr. Daniels continued his career with the Secret Service by transferring to the Norfolk, VA Field Office. There he investigated numerous cases involving fraud on military bases in the area and continued to be recognized for his outstanding investigations. Twice he was recognized by the US Attorney's Office for his investigations; once for a counterfeiting case involving over four million dollars in counterfeit money and once for a homicide investigation involving insurance fraud, mail fraud and obstruction of justice.

During his assignment to the Norfolk field Office he began his training in the examination of computer evidence and other digital media. Mr. Daniels investigated numerous cyber crimes while assigned to the Norfolk Field Office of the Secret Service, including cases involving sexual predators over the Internet. Some of his other investigations included computer credit card fraud, computer bank fraud, identity theft and digital cellular telephone fraud to name a few.

Mr. Daniels culminated his Secret Service career by being promoted to the Head Quarters level where he supervised the daily tasks of the Secret Service Electronic Crime Special Agent Program which consisted of approximately 125 field agents stationed worldwide. His duties included the coordination of equipment and software purchases as well as the training needed to keep the members of this elite force up-to-date with the dynamic field of computer and digital media forensics.

Since his retirement from the Secret Service, Mr. Daniels founded Digital Inquiries, LLC and has continued to conduct digital media examinations. He specializes in the field of domestic/child abuse with digital examinations involving child pornography and child sexual abuse.

However, his wide range of experience in white collar and computer investigations has given him valuable expertise in many areas of criminal and civil torts. In addition, his many contacts throughout the law enforcement and forensic communities make him an excellent choice for any of your investigative needs.
